​The community centre at the heart of Heybridge, Essex, previously featured an uninviting entrance, resembling a fire exit. In an effort to become more outward-facing, the Parish Council commissioned Inkpen Downie to design a new entrance and foyer area, with the goal of creating a more welcoming environment for the public and, as a result, increasing community engagement and usage of the building.
